Teachers in Los Angeles want to help their union be more inclusive by using online voting in union elections.
Why Online Voting?
- Increases turnout. Less than 20% of members voted in the last election for union president.
- More reliable.
- More secure.
- Cheaper than paper.
UTLA teachers Marisa Crabtree and Megan Markevich want to bring online voting to the union, and it has been a long journey (read their story).
But first online voting needs its own vote! Will you help?
Are you a member of UTLA?
